Did u watch the olympics? did you see this big rock guy?

wow. A lot of amazing athletes. doing amazing things. There were moments of pride and frustration, times of anger and frustration, then joy and excitement!

Here is my frustration: in the olympics only one person comes in first. only one person is celebrated more than the rest because of their rank. In MY world, the winners are the ones who give it their best.

sometimes we don’t share the love of christ with others because we think we are not the best. we wont do it right, and there are so many others that may do things better, se let’s just leave it to them. NOOO! If you lack in any area, that is an area that has the potential for God to fill!

remember in the bible where it says: i want to boast in my weaknesses? that’s because if we only do what we are good at, than we start to rely on our own abilities, but if we do what we may be a little weak at (like telling the truth, being respectful to parents, or caring for others), than GOD will have an opportunity to show up in power and take care of business!!

The Cleanse

Liz and I are doing this Master Cleanse thing. you basically drink water, lemon juice, and maple syrup for five to ten days, and occasionally pop a cyan pepper pill.

It is the worst.

I am only at the end of day two and i am thinking about what my arm meat may taste like cooked over a match. I even entertained the idea of making a quick meal from some roadkill i saw.

getting rid of the junk is never easy. its stuff we have come to live with and even accept as part of us. But it is junk all the same, and it needs to go.

... and now I need to go.

Life is short. We are young for such a quick moment. we go through tough situations so quickly. We try to hurry out of tough times and wiggle our way out of punishments. We are adults in a blink of an eye. We so quickly look for the next waypoint on our journey to adulthood, and then begin checking things off the list for an accomplished life.

do something weird today. By weird, i mean something you wouldn’t normally do. Walk home a new way. Go to the gym. Sit with a new person at lunch. Sing your heart out. Buy a flower for someone. Say nothing for an entire hour. SOMETHING.

Life is too short to just carry on from one point to the next. don’t just go with the flow because you think you need to. Too many people graduate from college with no idea of who they are because of that way of living. Decide who you want to be and do it! Resist your sin nature, and strike a blow for the kingdom of God... enjoy your freedom.

I don’t think any one noticed, but i’ve been gone for about two weeks. It was a great time with my wife up in canada. W were in whistler village where the olympics will be held next year. It was pretty sweet. I’ve missed so much here though. I feel like an outsider looking in. Got a pile of stuff on my plate o let’s get a crack’n!

The New Old School

I am on facebook a lot now. I am trying to keep in contact with the people that I have made friendships with. I felt that facebook would help me with that. I post what I am doing and they post what they are doing. I have come to realize that facebook is a huge digital high school hallway. I am 16 again, and I am looking for my friends to hangout with, to give me assurance that I am not alone, tho give me an audience to goof off in front of, to flaunt my new school clothes or latest trendy acquisition. I know facebook isn’t like this for everyone, but it is for me.

what do I do?
